Christian Howard

I am currently the Digital Humanities Postdoctoral Fellow at Bucknell University. I received my PhD in English Literature from the University of Virginia in May 2019, and my dissertation is titled, “Reimagining Ethics through World Literature.” My work attempts to understand world literature in light of the digital turn.

My research and teaching interests include: Digital humanities; media and textual studies; modern and contemporary literature (especially the novel and global Anglophone); comparative literature, with special emphasis on theories of world literature and German and Austrian literature and thought; and 20th & 21st century ordinary language philosophy and ethical theory.
